Art you ready to fly? (Well it looks like we have our work cut out for us)
This installation is early proof that systems were already in the work. Processing, Max/MSP, microcontrollers, projection, room logic, and audience encounter all meet here inside one stack. The piece does not separate image from mechanism or interaction from atmosphere.
That matters now because it keeps the current systems work from being misread as a late-career pivot. The later tools are cleaner, more legible, and more operationally mature, but the urge to build hybrid public systems was already present here.
If the present-day work looks infrastructural, this piece shows the infrastructure instinct was already there, just in a rawer room-scale form.
