The original statement describes cast-plastic RNA models and solar prints made from them. Plastic’s ability to assume many shapes supplied the material analogy; failures retained in the casts became part of a conversation among biological systems, scientific representation, art, and technology.

The object does not end at fabrication. It becomes a photographic source, then a translated image with different density, scale, and legibility.
